Run for you

Relationship Generation System™

Turn your expertise into conversations, and keep those conversations moving. A coordinated approach to outreach, educational events and personal follow-up for established coaches, consultants and professional services providers.

You don’t need thousands of people following you to start building relationships with the right prospective clients.

You need a relevant reason to connect, a useful way to demonstrate your expertise, and consistent follow-through when someone shows interest.

The Relationship Generation System™ brings those pieces together, run for you, with AI helping personalise the outreach and manage the business development work that too often falls between the cracks.

The opportunity is often in the follow-up that never happens

Someone accepts your connection request. Someone replies to an email. Someone registers for your webinar, attends part of it, or asks a question.

Then what?

A generic sequence might continue. A booking link might get sent. But the individual conversation often stops there. Perhaps you intended to follow up personally. Perhaps your assistant didn’t know what to say. Perhaps you were busy delivering for existing clients.

Meanwhile, a potentially valuable relationship goes quiet.

Getting attention is only part of client acquisition. Someone needs to manage what happens next.

That means understanding the context, deciding on an appropriate next step, following through and recognising when a person needs your direct involvement. The Relationship Generation System™ is designed around that entire process.

Give the right people a reason to engage

Your prospective clients may not be looking for your service when you first reach them. But they may recognise a problem you describe, be interested in a different approach, or welcome a useful conversation about their situation.

Your positioning and Unique IP Method give you something substantive to introduce. That creates a natural path from initial contact to education, conversation and, where there’s a fit, working together.

Instead of asking a stranger to immediately consider an engagement, you can help them understand:

  • Why a familiar problem keeps recurring.
  • What they may be overlooking.
  • Why the order in which they tackle it matters.
  • What a more effective approach could look like.

How the system works

Six connected steps

  1. 01

Establish who to approach and why

We start with a defined audience, a relevant problem and a credible reason for that audience to engage with you. Your expertise, method and offer need to connect to their situation.

This foundation guides the targeting, outreach, educational content and follow-up. It also helps identify who should progress towards a sales conversation.

  2. 02

    Start relevant, personalised conversations

AI can help research prospects using appropriate available information, identify relevant context and prepare outreach that connects that context to your expertise. That outreach runs across LinkedIn, cold email, your existing list and referral partners.

Useful personalisation goes beyond a first name or a passing reference to someone’s latest post. It answers: why this person? Why this topic? Why might this be useful to them?

Depending on the campaign, the next step might be a conversation, a useful resource or an invitation to a webinar or roundtable. The messaging stays grounded in what we actually know about the prospect.

  3. 03

Demonstrate your expertise through 1:many sales

A webinar, roundtable or other educational experience gives prospective clients an opportunity to see how you think. Your Unique IP Method provides the structure.

You help people recognise their situation, understand what may be holding them back and see what needs to happen next. This creates a stronger basis for a sales conversation: people have experienced your judgement before being asked to invest in it.

Inviting people to these events also builds your email and social audience, and creates warm contacts you can follow up personally.

  4. 04

Turn the work you naturally do into content

Your webinar can do more than start conversations with the people who attend. When you explain your method, answer a question or help someone see a problem differently, you’re demonstrating the judgement a prospective client is buying. That is often your strongest material.

We build a repeatable workflow to capture recordings and transcripts, identify useful explanations and examples, connect them to your Unique IP Method, and turn them into video clips, posts, emails and longer pieces that support outreach, event invitations and follow-up.

AI can handle much of the transcription, selection, drafting, formatting and scheduling. Your review focuses on accuracy, nuance and whether the result still sounds like you. Public webinars are a straightforward starting point. Material from client or prospect conversations requires appropriate permission, with identifying and confidential information removed.

  5. 05

    Manage the individual follow-through

This is the business development layer that connects engagement to a genuine opportunity.

Someone who registered but couldn’t attend needs a different conversation from someone who stayed, asked a detailed question and described a current problem. Someone who says “later this year” needs a different next step from someone who asks how to work with you.

The system uses the available engagement and conversation history to guide that next action, and keep track of it.

  6. 06

Bring you into the right conversations

When a prospective client is ready for your input, you should arrive with context. What prompted their interest? What have they engaged with? What have they said about their situation? What has already been discussed or promised?

You can pick up the conversation as an informed adviser, with less time spent reconstructing the history.

AI can now take on much of the coordination and follow-through

Personal business development has traditionally required someone to research contacts, monitor replies, remember the context, write follow-ups and maintain the pipeline. That workload is one reason good intentions rarely become consistent execution.

The AI-enabled version of the Relationship Generation System™ is being developed to take on much of this work for you. Activities can be automated, queued for review or assigned to you according to the judgement required and what each platform supports.

The aim is to let you spend more time using your expertise in worthwhile conversations, with the supporting business development work managed around you.

Depending on the channels and integrations in place, that can include:

  • Preparing personalised outreach based on a prospect’s business, role and relevant available context.
  • Keeping contact records current as people reply, register, attend or book.
  • Interpreting and routing responses so questions, objections, timing issues and expressions of interest reach the right next step.
  • Coordinating event follow-up according to what someone attended, asked or requested.
  • Drafting or sending routine follow-ups within agreed boundaries, using the actual conversation history.
  • Tracking commitments and next actions so “send me that”, “check back next month” and “let’s arrange a time” don’t disappear.
  • Preparing you for sales conversations with a concise brief on the person, their situation and the relationship so far.

Personal attention, with a process behind it

Good follow-up should feel like a continuation of a conversation. It should remember what someone said, respect their timing and offer a relevant next step.

Sometimes that means arranging a call. Sometimes it means answering a question, sharing something useful or leaving the person alone until the time they suggested.

Your tone, boundaries and approach guide how the system operates. You remain involved where your expertise matters most: understanding complex situations, making recommendations, assessing fit and agreeing on an engagement.

Built on The Expert Scaling Method™

The Relationship Generation System™ is the operating layer for stages 3 to 6 ofThe Expert Scaling Method™: messaging and content, promotion, 1:many sales and follow-through. It works best when you already have:

  • A clear view of the clients you’re well equipped to help.
  • A differentiated approach you can explain.
  • An offer grounded in results you can realistically deliver.
  • The ability and capacity to serve the clients you attract.

If those foundations need work, we address them first. AI can help us execute and learn faster. We still need to test which audiences, messages and invitations create worthwhile conversations.

For established experts ready to grow beyond referrals

Designed for coaches, consultants and professional services providers who deliver valuable results and want a more deliberate way to develop new client relationships. It may be a fit if:

  • You can advise and sell effectively once you’re in a real conversation.
  • You’re comfortable sharing your expertise, or willing to develop that ability.
  • You have a credible service but a limited audience.
  • Your current follow-up depends too heavily on your memory and spare time.
  • You want an approach that reflects the way you naturally work with clients.

You’ll need to contribute your expertise, participate in qualified conversations and give feedback as the approach is refined. The system provides structure and execution around that contribution.

A new version, built around a familiar principle

Earlier versions of my work connected targeted outreach, educational events and consultative sales. The recurring challenge was the work between those stages, particularly the individual follow-up after someone engaged. That business development layer required more coordination than many clients could sustain.

I’m now developing the next version of the Relationship Generation System™ around AI-assisted personalisation and managed follow-through, testing it in my own business as the foundation for future client engagements.

Help the right people understand their situation, demonstrate how you can help, and follow through with care and consistency.
